The Cabinet.

Six roles responsible for the strategic direction, governance, and day-to-day leadership of ALSA. Cabinet is appointed from within the existing executive team at the end of each academic year.

Cabinet roles are not open for external application. They are appointed internally from the existing officer and intern cohort at the end of each academic year, based on performance, fit, and the best interests of ALSA. The path to cabinet starts with joining as an officer or intern.

President

Lead the organisation, chair cabinet, represent ALSA externally, and hold final accountability for everything ALSA does.

Support the President, step in when needed, and lead specific cross-portfolio initiatives as directed by cabinet.

Secretary

Own ALSA's records, minutes, and internal communications. Keep governance in order: documentation, correspondence, and meeting records handled accurately and on time.

Manage ALSA's finances: budget, expenditure, and accounts. Keep the books accurate and ensure the organisation remains financially sound.
