Jayden Lin is a penultimate year LLB/BCom (Accounting) student at the University of Auckland with interests in corporate law, property law, and cross-border commercial practice. He began his degree at the University of Canterbury before independently transferring to Auckland, and is the first in his family to study law.

Academically, Jayden has ranked highly across several courses, including third out of approximately 500 students in Equity, second in Law of the Sea, and sixth in Comparative Indigenous Rights.

Alongside his studies, he spent nearly three years at SkyCity Entertainment Group as an International Business Service Executive, managing relationships with high-net-worth international clients across English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

As Treasurer of the Auckland University Law Students' Society in 2025, Jayden oversaw a six-figure annual turnover, managing sponsorship, event expenditure, and financial controls across the year.

In 2026, he founded ALSA Auckland as an independent incorporated society. He drafted the organisation's constitution, recruited a 17-member executive team, secured five figures in partnership value from professional organisations, and built the operational systems underpinning the organisation's activities. ALSA was built to give students entering the legal profession the connections, structure, and professional development that most have to find on their own.

"I did not start with a roadmap. So I built one."
