Anthony Huang

Founding Treasurer

Financial management, budgeting, and reporting.

Anthony Huang is the Founding Treasurer of ALSA Auckland, responsible for the organisation's financial management and accountability. He joined the founding executive in January 2026 and holds the financial governance of a growing incorporated society with external sponsorship relationships.

Anthony's legal experience is grounded in access to justice work. He served as a Legal Assistant at both YouthLaw Aotearoa and the Waitematā Community Law Centre concurrently, supporting clients from intake through to resolution across a range of matters. That breadth across a specialist youth law organisation and a generalist community law centre reflects both his range and his capacity.

As Service Events Officer of the Beta Alpha Psi University of Auckland chapter, he was selected to represent the chapter in the Beta Alpha Psi Oceania Best Practices Competition 2026, where he placed first among seven universities across New Zealand and Australia in the Sustainability category.

Anthony is completing a conjoint LLB/BCom majoring in Accounting at the University of Auckland, a combination that directly informs his work managing ALSA's financial structure. He attended Auckland Grammar School, where he completed his Cambridge International A-Levels, and played Premier Basketball.
